Simple Mail - can't create message

Hi,
I just have installed Simple mail 2.74c on a vista 64bit system (home premium). Unfortunately, when I try to create a new mail or want to reply to an mail, I can't type any text into the text field. There isn't even a curser. The smily-thing doesn't work too...
But I can edit "to:" and "subject:"...
Maybe it isn't able to work on a 64bit system?

I have everything done, still doesn't work.

Firefox versions 3.0.5, 3.1b2 and 3.2a1 worked fine for me.

When I open Simpel Mail following error message occures:

Maybe that's the problem?

Just a thought, I had a similar problem. I had missed out some of the fields in the user account details. Once I had filled in all the boxes it was fine!!

Then it had been reported that "execCommand" function doesn't work on on MacOS.
I guess that is the bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434998

I have used Ubuntu 8.04 on a Ibook, with several Firefox versions.
After an upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04 and the latest Firefox 3.0.10 no change. Never got it working on PowerPC ! :-((
On my main notebook with Ubuntu 8.04, I never had problems until recently.
Same error messages except the following :
Failed to load XPCOM component: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.10/components/libpyloader.so
Failed to load XPCOM component: /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.10/components/pyabout.py
Maybe a xulrunner problem ??
This really sucks :-(((

Upgraded to v275b 1, as proposed. But unfortunately, this didn't change anything for the better :-((
