2.8 rearranging tiles

Everytime I refresh the page, the panels rearrange. During the rearranging, some panels show up twice whereas others disappear from the list. I love this addon, best addon ever but not usable with this issue. Posts on the mozilla add-ons page indicate I'm not the only one with the issue. I hope you come up with a fix soon.

Yup. My bookmarks are fine, my FD works great, everything is working as it should be.
This is good news.
Thanks for all your feedback

Firstly, I use Foxmarks, and I think the problem lies there. Does FD use bookmarks? I ask because my laptop was using an older version of FD and had a different number of tiles. Today without upgrading anything, FD on my laptop decided it was going to increase the number of tiles and fill them in randomly with tiles from my FD on my desktop. As soon as I fired up FF on my desktop, all my tiles randomly rearranged again.
Has FD recently changed to use bookmarks, or did the change occur in Foxmarks? I read a thread from someone with a Foxmarks issue, and I wholeheartedly agree that 2 separate foxmarks accounts defeats the whole purpose of using it. I'm not really sure why my other machine suddenly got more tiles too. I use 40 tiles on my desktop, 16 on my laptop, and it expanded to 20 tiles, why not expand to 40?
It all seems very odd. One of these 2 addons is not working as it should.
I will test a solution tomorrow: it seems that if one logs into their Foxmarks account at their website, you can configure sync profiles and exclude folders. I'll try excluding my Fast Dial folder to see if that works and report back.

Has FD recently changed to use bookmarks,
Version 1.x of Fast Dial saved all it's information to the Fast Dial Folder where both the images and Fast Dial information were stored.
This was entirely separate from Bookmarks
Fast Dial 2 now stores it's information to places.sqlite which is the storage file for all Firefox bookmarks.

Can you not exclude folders without logging onto their site ?
Look forward to hearing how you get on.

It is worth bearing in mind that if you used Version 1.90 of Fast Dial, which does not save to Bookmarks, that this would immediately resolve any of the problems that you were having with Foxmarks.
Instructions on how to do this are available here:
How to return to Fast Dial 1.x after running Fast Dial 2.x
However before you do this, it is worth considering carefully.
If you still have you fastdial.sqlite.bak file
in your computer you can regain your earlier setting from when you upgraded to Version 2.x.
However there is no method available at the moment to carry over your settings in your present Fast Dial 2.x to Fast Dial 1.x

Is there a reason why fast dial uses bookmarks now instead of it's own folder? As far as fast dial goes, is there an advantage to doing it this way?
