New version 2.83 of Simple Mail

A new version 2.83 of Simple Mail is available on the Development Channel on AMO.

What's new in this version ? :
- ADDED : Option to empty trash on exit
- ADDED : Possibility to abort sending/checking mail
- ADDED : Change icon when RE or FWD
- ADDED : Add Lithuanian language
- ADDED : Add Catalan language
- ADDED : Add Japanese language
- ADDED : Add Ukrainian language (thanks to Daniel Guerin)
- FIXED : Mailto handler work now (thanks to Vaka)
- ADDED : Option to open new mail in a new window
- FIXED : SPAM Management don't work correctly - code rewrite
- FIXED : Problem with email name with comma

Submitted by owlet on Wed, 09/05/2012 - 11:25I think every letter must have its own checkbox (like in web interface) to be able to check it and to do any procedure you want, including deletion.

Submitted by Kamui on Wed, 11/28/2012 - 00:25In Fx17-18 (I tested) didn't work mail checking, sometimes checks on startup, but not always and manual checking didn'work. About "deleting without selection", how it must be IMO:
1. We can delete mail without selecting through context menu;
2. When one mail deleted via toolbar button, there is must be selected next letter;
3. We can delete mails without select if deleting more than one mail, selected with ctrl+LMB or shift+LMB, and if mails selected with column "select".
How it's all must be realized:
We just need don't select mail when ctrl+LMB or shift+LMB, and don't select mail when RMB on mail, and when selecting with column "select".

Submitted by AyeJay on Sat, 12/08/2012 - 12:05I am using the latest version of SimpleMail (SM) 2.83.3 and I see my genuine browser icons in the main bar of SM disappear and getting replaced apparently by SM's own icons every time SM is starting...
Could this be made an optional feature and possibly get changed, by some parameter such as "Use SM's own icons": FALSE or TRUE?
Or is this already doable, and I couldn't find it?

This would already be fine for me though!
Then it gets overwritten by SimpleMail's icons, giving the following:

Re-thinking all this again I have to admit that it could also be completely the other way round;
namely that at first SimpleMail's own icons are shown, getting overridden by my generic skin icons.
You will certainly know from the above what is the case, I am sure... :-)
Either way, I want a parameter in order to personalize that behavior.
Couldn't this be done easily, it shouldn't need too much of an action?!
