it's look like something 'reset" skin setting of Simplemail .... weird ...

Submitted by AyeJay on Wed, 12/12/2012 - 08:46I don't use stylish, I don't use any other themes, than the default theme for V17.0.1.
All I can say, that I had once installed that unauthorized version of SimpleMail, which was available under the name "SimpleMail plus" or so, and which has been removed from the AMO-files, and which I therefore also removed here.
Which is the SimpleMail icon set, and which is generic? No. 1) or No. 2) ?
You should know this, please tell me about it!
Where can I find these icon sets, in which files of FF are they stored ? Chrome... what so ever, skins?
Where do I have to look in order to find these files?
Thanks for your answers!

all icons belong to SimpleMail. You can choose between 3 set of icons in the settings of Simplemail
the 1 is the "standard" icon set, the 2nd the "Oxygen" icon set.
that's why it"s weird ... it's like SimpleMail switch between the 2 icons set on start ...
you can find these icons in your Firefox Profile in
\extensions\simplemail@telega.phpnet.us\chrome\skin
Regards
Ps : do you have " java quick starter" installed on your Firefox?

"All icons belong to SimpleMail.

the 1st set is the "standard" icon set, the 2nd set is the "Oxygen" icon set."
Where can these settings be found?
And NO, I don't have "Java Quick Starter" installed, I even don't have Java installed...
... which I changed now, Java Platform SE7 U9 10.9.2.5 is now installed.
But NO changes, whatsoever.

Submitted by AyeJay on Thu, 12/13/2012 - 13:23OK, thanks - I see; I did find it under the General tab.
I have now chosen "Oxygen" and I have also set "Icons and Text" within SimpleMail by right clicking on the according bar.
From what I can tell until now, I don't see any reloading any more.
Having set "Icons" only instead, as it was before, there is a reloading in such a way, that at first, there is also "Text" which then disappears...
But I have the icons shown as 1) in my screenshots, which I understood would be "Standard" as you designated it above?!
It's fine however as is for me now.
But, how is that possible?
There must still be some coding flaws... :-(
... I suppose.
Thanks anyway!

Submitted by AyeJay on Fri, 12/14/2012 - 14:28After having installed JAVA, using the Java Platform SE7 U9 version 10.9.2.5, as I already wrote above, there is now a NEW process running - named JQS.EXE.
I assume this could be said "Java Quick Starter" you did speak about.
Maybe?!
I am still under WIINDOWS XP - Service Pack 3, all patches made.
I couldn't find however any differences for SimpleMail's behavior with that process running...
... I killed JQS.EXE - and again - No changes !
