I need help !

I've had Fast Dial for a while, and about 3 days ago, it stopped working.
When I open a new page, or click to open FD, a blank page with a bunch of weird symbols showed up.
I don't know what they are, but I can't figure out a way to get it back to normal.
I tried restoring FD, uninstalling then reinstalling, but still ends up with the same thing;;
someone help?
→ Mac OS 10.5.8, Firefox 3.6, Fast Dial 2.23b1

I am not sure what is happening your end.
A screenshot would be most helpful.
For a start I would try this
Try it a couple of times, restarting Firefox each time.
And see if it helps.
There have been reports of Fast Dial going blank, but I am not sure if that is your problem.
You can read about that problem here
However I would not start loading bookmarks backup until we have exhausted all other lines of enquiry.
Please also have a look in boomarks/organise bookmarks and look in your fast dial folder (in bookmarks menu) to see if everything is in place

Blank with this pattern.
Not looking good.
1. Please let me know if the bookmarks you expect to see are in the Fast dial folder in bookmarks.
2. If they are then try make fast dial home (see above)
3. If the fast dial bookmarks are in another bookmarks folder then you will have to try reloading an earlier backup of bookmarks as is described in the long thread.
as yours has been bust for three days, then go to an earlier backup...
4.
start moving your bookmarks around as is also described in the thread - last option - difficult.

well that is a good sign.
are you sure you have tried fast dial make home as I suggested ?
with firefox restart
and firefox page refresh...
if you right click the Fast Dial page does preferences appear ??

But one thing that's weird to me is, the name of the page:"chrome://fastdial/content//fastdial.html"

chrome://fastdial/content/fastdial.html
It takes me to the root folder in fast dial...
