Yeah, this behaviour will be great implementation of mail checking :)
And one more thing, now I have timer about 10 minutes on every of four my accounts, all looks like SM checks for new mail, but there're no new mails. I try to send mail from one my account to another and wait about 1 hour, but SM as before shows no new mails, then I check with middlemouse click on icon, and here they are, new mails are received. Is it related bug?

SimpleMail has to use a more "fault tolerant" method for displaying faulty messages, at it is implemented in most of the other email programs I know about, such as OPERA, Outlook, etc...
In the case of that faulty 'automatic receipt' message mentioned above, whereby in SimpleMail NO contents whatsoever is shown, and even NO refreshing of the contents field is done in SimpleMail - namely the old contents of the former viewn email is still displayed - one has to analyze that email for faulty, i.e. non RFC-compliant expressions.
In order to do some research with that faulty email, I have forwarded - by SimpleMail - said "automatic receipt" email to myself, and lo and behold, that forwarded email was shown correctly - all the missing contents were there, completely and correctly shown!
Which shows, that SimpleMail is essentially able to handle those faulty emails - i.e the parsing of slightly faulty emails is still working correctly in SimpleMail, only displaying is a problem.
I'll send now to you those emails completely as ZIP-files from the 'attachments' folder of SimpleMail's profile, you will certainly know how to use that.
You should Insert them into YOUR OWN 'attachments' folder and then evaluate them by comparison.
I'll do also the same with that other faulty SPAM-mail, in order to find out which other (!) faults are responsible for not displaying the contents in that case.
In case of that SPAM email, the method of forwarding brought NO SUCCESS, the forwarded email was also not displaying any headers, and also not any meaningful contents, the OPERA browser however - as already mentioned above - displayed the headers and the contents correctly.
This is, what SimpleMail should do also, despite of that nasty SPAM mail character... :-)
version 2.84.1 of Simple Mail
Submitted by charlie6 on Sun, 02/10/2013 - 00:04Hi,
here trying to create a desktop icon for straight launching Simple Mail.
doing in a terminal
# firefox -chrome "chrome://simplemail/content/main/main.xul"
will start simple mail but without the profile specifications (no Sent box nor Receive box nor AdressBook...).
so question is:
which command line to apply to get Simple Mail running as if it where from Firefox ? ... if possible.
Thanks for any answer
Charlie
