I only use transparent.
I also only make transparent logos because they will display on all backgrounds...
just make sure you use glow.

Transparent

Because I'm cool. even though that aint true.

Real reason is because it works with all backgrounds and it makes the logos look professional.

I use white and black backgrounds while creating the logo to make sure the complete logo is visible on both of them.

Of course, the final product has a transparent background.
