sorry to give you this trouble, but changing those brightness settings has made Nasa Inoperable.

strange I am running Nasa with 3.0.3 just fine.

have you tried reloading from AMO ?

Nothing we did should have caused this.

You could try disabling recently loaded extensions like Piclens :-)

download the xpi for nasa theme, and extract with winzip or winrar.

edit the install.rdf file with notepad.
look for the line with the firefox versions.
and modify it to work with 3.x

save the file, and zip the files into a ZIP, then rename ZIP into back into XPI
