Firefox not retaining bookmarks on reboot
ssansil —Thu, 10/09/2014 - 14:14
Hello, I am having a very hard time.
Got a new work computer, so I immediately installed fast dial.
Downloaded a theme from the site (EarthfromSpace.zip).
Please see here
After a few days, I decided to change the theme to a plain image.
Spent days requesting logos and setting up my fastdial page. it was perfect.
When I close firefox and turn it back on, everything is okay.
But when I turn off the computer or restart it, I lose my image and bookmark folders.
It always goes back to EarthfromSpace with no bookmarks.
I spend the day reposing every image and link and the same issue occurs when the computer is restarted. This has happened a dozen times.
I uninstalled fast dial and reinstalled it, Earth from Space is still listed in the memory and is used as the default theme, still not saving my info.
I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it then installing fast dial, same issue. this theme is haunting my firefox and wont go away, inhibiting me from customizing or even using fast dial the way I need it.
Any advice?

Try to make another forum thread, with test content, to see if the CAPTCHA issue is fixed.
Then delete it if it's successful, and report back.
If not fixed, reply in private message.

How did you do this ?
Did you go to Preferences/Appearance/Themes and change theme ?
Also have you tried removing the theme here

1.
It is unclear what bearing it has on the issue that your computer is closed down.
Are your home computer and work computer linked by being synchronised in some way ?
2
If you go to Bookmarks and look in Bookmarks Menu at the Fast Dial Folder can you see your bookmarks there ?

But if Firefox was not saving settings this could be caused by sqlite being read only, please see here
But your problem seems related to computer reboot

I don't understand how the two are related
Why did you not simply change your theme to your default and remove theme earthfromspace space from your computer
The theme has no influence on bookmarks
