Drag & Drop Re-ordering of sites not working in 2.8

The Drag & Drop feature is one that I used often to make sure my most-visited sites were in a specific order. When I try to drag & drop, FD puts it where IT wants, not where I tried to drop it. It used to swap sites between the two slots, but it no longer does that.

Well, I don't know what happened to my bookmarks but the problem stopped after resetting FF a couple of times

Could you please clarify exactly what you mean by "resetting" Firefox.
Do you mean restarting Firefox or something else.

The problem I'm still having though is with the thumbnails in Fast Dial. I can't rearrange them to where I want.

We need to try and find out why this is happening.
Can you confirm that this same error message occurs each time you do this.
Don't forget to clear the error console each time

BTW did you I wonder manage to send off your Bookmarks Backup file to telega ?

Sorry, I meant restart. I haven't sent my backup file since I haven't had any more errors with my bookmarks. I don't know how it will help with the thumbnail problems. Is there anything else I should do?

There are a number of people experiencing these "thumbnail problems"
At the moment the cause remains quite unclear.
Hence the usefulness of sending off your bookmarks backup.
If this behaviour can be reproduced then a fix can be made.

Is there anything else I should do?

Nothing else comes to mind.
The important thing is to find the cause of your problem so it can be fixed.
I will keep you posted.

Once you have backed up the file, send it as a file attachment to telega

did you try nomad's suggestion
Had the same problem, fixed it by going into the bookmark manager, right clicking on the troublesome folder and selecting Sort by name.

Thanks to EricaS cooperation I was able to track down and fix the bug - version 2.11 is updated with the fix.
The bug was appearing if "Fixed" thumbnail size option specified in preferences and FD page has a scrollbar.
