With my tab settings below, if I go to a bookmark in Bookmarks and right click/open in new Window, then a new window opens at the correct address just fine.
In Fast Dial Preferences/General have you got Fast Dial set to open in New Tab ?
Maybe worth checking that your Fast dial folder in bookmarks is correct.
Please try here.
If after checking the Fast dial bookmarks folder the problem continues then we can examine the matter further to understand the cause of this problem.
As for CTRL-N, well for me it opens a new Window as one would expect.
I have Fast Dial in the First Tab because I like it that way, but the address bar is clear.
If I go CTRL-D in Fast dial Root, then yes, I get something like you desribe, but that is to save a bookmark.
And that address is the address of the Fast Dial Root Folder, so is correct.
I am using 2.23b1 in 3.3.2
Many thanks
