fastdial hangs system

i'm using firefox 3.0.5, with fastdial 2.2b on winxp, 2.66ghz cpu, 512mb ram, with nvidia geforce 7100gs.
there's a very serius bug with fd. i've recreated it so many times that i can confidently say it's very serius.
by default fastdial captures a small thumbnail of the website added to any block. when a block is refreshed it takes a while for fastdial to capture the thumbnail. in the meantime, if any other block is right-clicked and any of the popup option is selected, fastdial totally hangs the system. firefox, startmenu, taskbar, system tray, the whole os itself. in one instance, i waited for about one half hour but the system remained hung, with absolutely no response, whatsoever, from keyboard or mouse. not even the taskmanager works. not even the best anticrash software - antifreeze! and this horrible bug not only exists in this beta version, but in all the previus versions too.
the image i've captured could only be done with a cam because of obvius reasons as above. so here's the link. sorry it's only 320x240 as my cell cam is capable only that much. but the bug is recognizable and anyone can recreate it with the steps i've pointed out above.

i'd request telega to rectify this soon before i switch my loyalty. i'm talking about speed dial. not only is it free of any bugs but also loads way faster than fast dial. the only thing speed dial doesn't have is drag'n drop, which telega wrongly claimed as 'faster drag and drop' in 2.22b. in my system, even if i use only fast dial as the addon, it still manages a huge 6sec for a drag'n drop to the adjacent block.

Please could you clarify which menu you are loading and which activity you activating while the cells are refreshing.
I am not at the moment able to reproduce this problem, so please try to be more specific.

please see my two image links. i've found another surprising fact. even when any thumbnail/s has/ve refreshed, the bug still occurs. just right-click on any thumbnail and select from the popup. in the images you can see i right-clicked and chose firefox>open in new tab. it's just then the system hangs. you can choose any popup say add> or sort>. the system would hang even then. i've not only recreated this in the fastdial default theme, but in all themes, with or without a customized image, to cut it short, with or without any customizations in the general and/or the appearance tabs in the preferences.
one thing though: this doesn't happen when you check 'hide the empty boxes' and choose the right-click popup on an area of empty box. this only happens inside any active box, that is, any box with a url to it OR any empty non-hidden box. i reproduced this bug in 12 systems all with different firefox versions from 3.0.0.2 to 3.0.5, with different fastdial versions from 1.89 to 2.22b.
here're the images once again:
i'd repeat the steps here for easy reference:
1. set fastdial and let the options be default for the time.
2. add any url, say google, to any of the empty box in fastdial.
3. now wait for the thumbnail to refresh.
4. right-click on the url added box--you get a popup showing
add>
firefox>
sort>
preferences
----------------
refresh all
5. now if you select any of the popup option say add> or sort>,
or even firefox>, the system freezes.
6. in the firefox> option though, fastdial shows up the submenu
(see my snaps) before freezing the system.
my second snap shows up the working cursor. this happens when you press ctrl-shift-esc or ctrl-alt-del to get the taskmanager.
to make sure, my system doesn't have any error, i reinstalled my whole system, fresh installed firefox. the bug's still there. and i'm confident it's in fastdial because when i uninstall fastdial and then right-click anywhere in firefox, this doesn't happen. also there's no problem with speed dial. though i'm not sure if i want to use the latter.
dear telega, please debug your addin before my hdd becomes inoperable!

That is the System does not freeze.

Have you tried
1. Disabling all other Extensions and retrying
or
2. Testing in a New Firefox Profile with only Fast Dial loaded.

As a matter of curiosity how long is it taking your one new Cell to refresh ?
There is surely not much time to do anything before it has loaded.

I have to say this. Today when I was trying to browse with Firefox, I came across what GEEKER had pointed out. My PC just froze when I did a right click on a fd cell and tried selecting the option add-->. Everytime I right click and everytime I have to restart my machine. Has anyone got any solution to this? Please help.

a)Fast Dial Version
b)Firefox Version
c)Operating System (all Version details)
Can you confirm that this occurs with either
a)all other extensions disabled
or
b)In a new Firefox profile with only Fast Dial loaded.
This bug has not been previously reported, so the cause of this problem is not yet clear.
However I can confirm that I cannot reproduce in Firefox 3.0.5/6
