Re: My Fast Dial setup on Windows Vista

Good pictures
It is a real shame that the fast dial background is unable to be transparent as well, so that one could see the grass behind...
(see a cheat here)
at least the border is transparent.
How do you get those blue tabs, is that courtesy of Vista ?
what is the opacity setting on the logos ?
Re: My Fast Dial setup on Windows Vista
Submitted by purplepack on Thu, 12/10/2009 - 22:34Thanks, I toyed around with most the top half of the logos I have to get them roughly the same size and level with each other and my amount of time for obviously goes down for the lower logos which I was never certain if I would keep permanently.
The logos are at 6 opacity normally and 20 is the margin.
When active they go all the way up to 10 and 0 margin.
Heres a list of what I have as far as the rest of firefox goes:
Aero Fox 3.6 Theme
Fission 1.0.9 (puts the progress bar into the address bar so I could do away with my status bar at the bottom)
Personal Menu 4.2.1 (gets rid of the File/edit/etc. bar and added that fancy list button next to the bookmarks star)
Thats about it as far as aesthetics goes, I have a 13inch laptop and I like to keep things as uncluttered as possible. No start up programs, no desktop icons. And yes you're right about having the browser be clear that would be sweet, because I also use Deskscapes if you know what that is. So the grass background is actually moving.

Maybe you know already.
You can run an animated gif as a background in fast dial.
If you find a good moving grass one please let me know !
many thanks

Too bad your maximized Window doesn't have a transparent border. However that can be easily fixed by VistaGlazz or else Windows 7.

Cool, I just got this laptop about 2 months ago and my Windows 7 is currently in delivery!
I have had Vista for almost 3 years and i always thought it was stupid that the glass goes away when a window is maximized
