There has also been historically a problem sometimes downloading themes.

Seems to happen randomly.
(I downloaded this theme last night )

Oh and please let me know the colour of the fast dial background on this theme.
For me, for some reason or other, it does not match the preview image...

so it would seem then that there is a problem my end.

strange the background which shows up as untitled-1.png in the firefox profile Fast Dial folder, shows as a white gradient as a file, but does not show on the fast dial page.

now to find out why...

OK it is the centred/tiled setting.
My page is too large to accept a centred setting for the background.
The result is I cannot see the background

This has occurred with a number of Uploaded themes

the reason is now apparent.

The background file is in fact of a reasonable size
1440px x 900px

It is the centred setting which messes things up..
(at least for me...)
