Tabbar is "always shown";
This addon replases "new tab".
1 Tab is opened(minimum)
It is very likely to hide close button in this case. It improves performance in case of the slow computer.
For ex. user dont understand what happens to his|her new tab & trying to close annoying unusual window. If computer is slow enough - this leads to lags.

LISTEN Mafia_Penguin!!!!
ONLY WHEN the fastdial root tab(called FAST DIAL) is the last - it shouldn't give an opportunity of closing. It just reloads now, but logicaly shouldn't!!!
Another idea was to allow user to set the title of the fastdial root tab.
Why you so stubborn?

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Wed, 04/29/2009 - 15:06The developer of Fast Dial is quite satisfied with the present design of Fast Dial relating to the closing of the last Tab.
He considers a request to modify the way in which Fast Dial behaves on closing the last tab, to simply satisfy the needs of one user, with a slow computer, to be unreasonable.
I think you will find that I have already answered your second query in some detail here
Many thanks

Open browser Bookmarks menu and rename "Fast Dial" folder there.

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 08:43I had not mentioned before, but it came to mind. Perhaps it might be worth considering, if your root is slow to load, to reduce the number of cells in the root perhaps by creating a number of groups.
Many thanks
