Most strange...
Not sure how to proceed.
There has to be a reason for this...

Mmmm
Interesting...
But it would seem that this is in some way specific to your system.
As there was another comment and there have been two votes.
Most intriguing.....:-)

Yes that is a little unusual ! ...:-)

Something has to be causing this.
You should exchange notes with macleod.mac and try and see what your two systems have in common.
Maybe we are making progress...

Yes but the question remains, why are you experiencing this particular problem, while not everyone else is.
It would interest me to know if you create a New Firefox Profile with no extensions loaded if this problem still continues to occur.

Re: visibility test
Submitted by chiaroscuro on Sun, 05/03/2009 - 14:51I recently came across a Logo of zigzag that I could not see.
Zigzag confirmed that he could not see it either !
It had received a positive vote so had been visible at some earlier point in time.
It was a nice logo !
We had a little chat about it, and discovered that the culprit was a hash in the file name.
The third logo I have uploaded here is called test#.png
In logo search preview there are clearly three logos visible for "visibility test". (four now)
Click on preview, and well the one with the hash does not show up except as the file name in a little box.
Maybe this is worth bearing in mind, when you upload a logo.
Anyone have further information about why this happens with hash ?
Presumably it is an illegal character...
Many thanks

Submitted by Mafia_Penguin on Mon, 03/29/2010 - 03:40I see this was recently updated. I just wanted to say: I can see this on the front page, but here I can't see test#.png.
Re: userlogos - logo visibility test
Submitted by inductiveload on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 14:13I don't see "test#.png" or "bill & ben.png", but I do see "bill&ben.png".
I originally had this problem while trying to upload "1.00 FTE wordmark & meeting.png", but I deleteted the "&" and it uploaded fine.

Re: userlogos - logo visibility test
Submitted by inductiveload on Sun, 01/15/2012 - 19:05I uploaded another image at http://userlogos.org/node/15229 with a " & " in it and it seems to have worked when saved. However, it doesn't show up when previewing the post.

Re: userlogos - logo visibility test
Submitted by chiaroscuro on Sun, 12/02/2012 - 15:55User A2000 has pointed out that this problems of logo visibility is caused by Adblock Plus
http://www.userlogos.org/node/16382?
After some examination this would seem to be the cause of many of the userlogos visibility issues
That is apart from the unsuitable symbols in the Logo name
The problem is caaused by filters on certain names being used for images.
Thanks to A2000 for discovering this, it has been a bit of a mystery for many years !
