Is there a way to remove google search field out from the fast dial?

It is redundant with the search bar provided by firefox. I could not find a way to remove it.

Go Preferences > General > Hide Search Bar

i cant see the search bar toggle setting in v2.23b1, how do i turn it on?

In Preferences/General increase the value of Search from zero to one.

However Search is not yet working in v2.23b1
