hide menu bar option

I just installed FD v2.22, I had v2.15 and the only thing had cooler than this v2.22 doesn't have is the "HIDE MENU BAR", in the PREFERENCES option. Can somebody can tell me what happened? or is there any way to recover that option or do I have to look for another add-on just to get it?

Re: hide menu bar option
Submitted by Mafia_Penguin on Mon, 01/12/2009 - 19:06That has been removed.
The option interfered with the toolbars upon 1st install, so the commenters on AMO !@#$%^&* hated it.
To do this, yes you need a new addon. Chiaroscuro recommends AutoHide.

Submitted by Huged (not verified) on Mon, 01/12/2009 - 20:02I was looking a while the options first the one you suggest but I do link this add-on Compact Menu 2 2.3.0a3 for 2 reasons.
1) Is approved for Firefox guys which is better for me because I don't have enough time to test add-ons
2) I like the idea of just one icon.
Thanks Mafia_penguin, anyway.

Submitted by Vyp3R on Mon, 01/12/2009 - 20:21I use Personal Menu for the same reasons, plus you can choose what items you want to display in the menu. ie. I Never use the Help menu item so I don't have it displayed.

I have always used the same Extension for running Fullscreen and for hiding Toolbars.
Works just fine for Fast Dial Versions without Autohide
please see
Running Fast Dial in All Versions since 2.16 with Autohide
Many thanks
