A "real" tutorial
swalker Mon, 12/15/2008 - 18:39
Can someone please post a real tutorial. I have not a clue as to how to start making logos. The 2 tutorials that are provided are out of date and make absolutely no sense considering one is hardly in english and the other is a video that you can't even see much less keep up with. I don't even know what programs to use!
How bout some help here!

What exactly is Fireworks, anyway?
I know Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, Paint.net, Illustrator, etc; but I have never seen what Fireworks is.
What exactly is Fireworks?

Re: A "real" tutorial
Submitted by macleod.mac on Tue, 12/16/2008 - 03:07I prefer Fireworks for image editing and Photoshop for photo editing.
There's a screenshot here
Basically it edits both bitmaps and vectors, which makes it useful as it can read .ai files straight off. There's more about it on the wiki page here
Any specific questions, just ask.
Edit: I use CS3 not CS4 which is shown in the screenshot.

I... it... adobe... fireworks....
ITS SO CHEAP for Adobe products!!!
Wow..
So all that's left to integrate is a cheap, less-features Flash Pro!

I'm working on a Paint.NET Tutorial
Good news.
This is great.
Will hopefully allow more users to make their own logos.
