I have got 3 Questions... If you don't mind....
First:
How could I let Windows use simple mail as a default Windows mail.?
second:
Could I launch Simple Mail tab with a keyboard shortcut?
Third:
Could I launch New mail with a keyboard shortcut?

this should allow you to make a standalone icon of simple mail
try setting it from there.
