can't get this to work

want to change from windows live mail(which I hate). Got the email sent welcoming me, but can not send emails or receive emails since. I like the look of this, but need HELP badly.

Which version Firefox/Simplemail do you use ?
which POP/IMAP/SMTP server do you use ?
Which provider ?
Can you receive mail ?
Do you use a Firewall, a Proxy ?
