New version 2.84 of Simple Mail

A new version 2.84 of Simple Mail is available on AMO.

What's new in this version ? :
- ADDED : New attachments display
- FIXED : Progress bar don't update
- ADDED : "Refresh Every" option for account with zero fill in, set manual check account
- ADDED : Attachments are automatically placed at the end of the email when composing

- ADDED : Sound notification

Submitted by N0cturnal on Fri, 02/15/2013 - 18:45Hi all, I have been using Simple mail for a while now with no problems until now. I don't know if it's a bug or what but I like to have Hide Status Bar icon and Hide Counter Toolbar when there's no mail checked under preferences. Since the last 2 new updates the icon shows up with an exclamation point inside a red circle even with my 2 preferences checked. Now if I uncheck Hide Counter Toolbar it disappears from the bottom of Firefox taskbar, but then returns if I close and re-open Firefox. I hope the Developer can look into this and get this fixed! Does this happen with anyone else here?

having an email in the 'Drafts' folder, which I wanted to send now, there was NO SEND facility in the context menu of this drafts mode; I double-clicked on that email, arriving at edit mode for this email again.
Then pushing 'Send' for that email in editing mode it is sent, but that sending is NEVER finishing, thus not giving any indication of its status as being sent.
This is misleading and led to my repetition of this sending several times, until I finally recognized in the 'Sent' folder, that this sending also happened several times, before I found this out... :-(

THIS IS NOT MY FULL-TIME JOB. I did it on my FREE time as best I can.
That said if you have an exclamation point inside a red circle this means that you have a problem to retrieve your mails.
If you check 'Hide Counter Toolbar', the icon disappears but when you restart FF and, as i think you have a problem to retrieve your mails the error icon is showed.

Sorry if I came off the way I did in my last post but was not my intentions....I don't know how often you check these posts, but after 4 days of no response to what I thought may have been a bug I did not think anyone was going to reply back! Again I apologize and keep up the good work!
On that note, what I had discovered and I don't understand why it happened, because I did not change anything in any of the host addresses of my emails, is that the pop and smtp addresses had changed from pop-server to pop.server and smtp-server to smtp.server. This must have occurred right after Simple mail updated to 2.84.1 because all was working fine in previous versions. So this is why I had thought that there maybe a bug because of the exclamation error with the red circle on the icon. But as soon as I corrected the host addresses back with the dash the error went away and all is fine now. Maybe you can shed some light into this when you get a chance.....

When new mail is downloaded the one at the top is automatically opened. If it happens to contain malware this could be a problem.
Could nothing be opened until it is voluntarily started so it can be deleted before opened if necessary. Deleting everything else safely works

ok forget it all :)
Now i understand the problem : SimpleMail auto fill smtp and pop/imap field, and as smtp-server (with a dash) is not a standard (at least for Simplemail ...), it is replaced by smtp.server (with a dot).
