New Thumbnail Backgrounds are not transparent anymore.

I'm experiencing an issue where newly created links are no longer transparent. If I remember correctly here is the order of events.

Upgraded to Firefox 5 - As most have noticed Fast Dial 3.4 doesn't work.
Reinstalled Firefox 4 - Yay Fast Dial is back!
Accidentally removed one of my links' logos and when I tried to reapply the transparent .PNG it is no longer transparent.
Reinstalled Firefox 5 and upgraded to Fast Dial 3.5b1 and I'm still having the transparency issue.

Weird thing is all of my previously created links are still transparent. If I go into prefs and change the background color all my links change. As soon as I type transparent back in there all my previously created links go back to transparent but not my new ones. Here is a screen shot of what I'm dealing with.

I've tried different images but just can't get new links to appear transparent.

This has been an issue since Firefox 4. There are two ways to fix this. One is to reinstall Firefox 3, refresh all of you tiles and reinstall Firefox 5 again.
The other way takes a little more work, but doesn't require you to reinstall the old Firefox. Here are some instructions on how to do it.
