From Mozilla Add-ons
LOVE IT!
I'm fairly new to FireFox, and had been using the Morning Coffee add-in to open all my daily sites in tabs. Nice, but not exactly what I was looking for. THIS ONE IS IT! My bf is the one who convinced me to try FireFox, and he found this one, too. I did have to go to the FAQ to find out a couple of things, but that only took a minute, and I am COMPLETELY in love with Fast Dial! I like how when you close your last tab, FD's right there to take you to the next place you want to go. Thanks!

Yes, it's German, Mafi0z...
Nicely phrased.
The translation is only approximate.

A Work of Art

(running Win Vista x64 / FFx 3.0.1)
GORGEOUS. Fast Dial Looks As Great As It Works (or maybe I meant that vice-verse?). I use this every single day, and it makes my time spent online easier (and aesthetically nicer).
Started with Speed Dial in Opera after discovering it to be the best homepage alternative ever. And then Speed Dial in Firefox. When Fast Dial became available, I had to give it a try. Both addons are indispensable, yet FD has much more to offer (it's incredibly tweakable(:~7)
I love what you have done with Fast Dial---this time, making it even easier to display website logos (although thumbnails look xlnt, too), how it works with Firefox 3 bookmarks, menu/t-bar improvements, and more.
It's apparent that you have put a good deal of effort and creativity into providing and maintaining this terrific app for THE MILLIONS OF PPL WHO USE IT---and with frequent upgrades, too---something I always look forward to. I would be hardpressed to imagine what more you could possibly do to make this any better than it is now---though I'm pretty sure you'll think up something;-)
....a huge round of applause for the mind behind Fast Dial (thanx)!

nice gadget
I've found this handy and useful -- easier than looking through Delicious tags for some of the sites I go to most often. I haven't had any problems with it, and like the customizable interface. I've set mine up with a large grid (9x6), but only have about fifteen or so thumbnails, so I've got them in little clusters, grouped as if tagged, and with the empty cells hidden. I find this gadget to be a helpful assistant, not calling out for any attention from me, and reliably capable when I need it.

a new favorite
lately, this is one of my favorite add-ons. I'm reading political blogs and articles every day (a nervous liberal right before the big election -- sorry to make my review seem political, but this helps me make my point), and I don't want to bookmark them (I use Delicious), because I'll never go back to many of them when the dust settles, you know? But this feature lets me set my home page (usually Google; I have webmail accounts that I only need to use infrequently) to a pack of thumbnails - the preset drop-down menus indicate a grid up to 10 by 5, but each field seems to respond to replacing selected text, so I could have dozens more thumbnails if I wanted (not enough of a coder to get under the hood of the code even if I had it in front of me to look at the range of the fields). A great utility, though, since if lets me, essentially, set up thumbnails that will likely be temporary, ad hoc, so I don't have to go to the trouble >really?< of pulling down one of my bookmarks (hundreds?) from one of the tags (I probably have fifty or so) in the toolbar. It's right there, available with a click. Leaving some cells empty, too, is helpful, because I can set up groups by dragging the thumbnails into clusters -- I do web design, among other things, and have a cluster with all the sites I manage, so they're even easier to check in on. It amounts to a second tier of bookmark, just below home page, but not quite a bookmark. With the empty-cell-clustered-thumbnail option, you have not quite bookmarks set up in not quite tags... The upshot: it makes information management with my browser much easier and more engaging. The dimensions, margins, whatnot, are also customizable by selecting the text in the field, as well as the colors, etc. I wish I had designed this. I would be greatly pleased with myself. I use Safari, too, I wince at IE, but thanks be to Firefox!

Fast Dial is great. I use Firefox just so I can use Fast Dial, I couldn't find any thing like it for IE.

I have promoted your add-on to everyone I know who owns a computer - I don't normally go out on a limb that way but this is SOOO good it is worth it.
Thank you for your apology - your words show character and honesty and just for that here is an extra star - * - to bring my rating up to 6 (we all get it wrong occasionally).
Thanks for making me aware of 'UserLogos' as I had spent hours on Google Image finding logos for Fast Dial - having purchased a new Toshiba Qosmio last week I will save time as I set up The Fox and its add-ons (a simple message would have done the trick though (ha ha)).
Keep up the excellent work - regards, Terry.

Of the scores of add-ons that I've used, Fastdial is the one which has changed my browsing experience the most. It makes getting around the intertubes fast and effective and it's attractive to boot with some rather stylish customisation by yours truly.
I've never had any problems with memory consumption, which is handy as I don't have much, and it's never crashed on me. The support I've received from the community at userlogos.org has been really useful, as is the whole site.
I used SpeedDial before I switched and it's good software, no trouble with it, but FastDial provides the option to make your homepage your own and that's why I prefer it.

No more searching...
Rated 5 out of 5 stars by t1470258 on June 10, 2009
I've been searching for days for a good "new tab" thumbnailer like my 2nd browser Opera. So far; Speed Dial, Auto Dial / 3D, New Tab King, New Tab JumpStart, MyBookmarks do get close yet fail to achieve the simplicity I was seeking for until "Fast Dial" (for me "Opera Dial")...
I simply congratulate the author for this great addon yet advise to include word "Opera" within addon description since they're same and I couldn't find this by search word "Opera" but just by chance...
