Hello everyone,
1) already use the fast dial a certain time, my problem is this, I use firefox on three different occasions, one in windows 7, one in the fedora 12 and one in the pen drive (portable firefox) to synchronize my bookmarks with the three firefox, I use xmarks, which is very good by the way, now I would like to know how best way to save the logos if i change in one firefox and the other two change their fast dial logos too?

2) Today I was tidying my fastdial logos, since I saw that he accepts the url of the logo, but I accidentally deleted the fast dial folder and then i restore bookmarks fast dial with xmarks , only the logos are gone ... what do I do?
Help me please.

3)Which is the best way to manage the logos?

Try doing restoring with a really old backup from Xmarks.

You could try this in a new Firefox Profile.

After you have restored the backup, go to the fast dial folder, and right click on the correct fast dial folder in bookmarks and go fast dial/make home.

I am unclear why this is not working....

Are you looking inside the fast dial folder in Bookmarks to see what it contains ?

3.5 Upgrade Fiasco Recovery:

1. Uninstall Fast Dial
2. Delete the corrupt "Fast Dial" folder - Yes, delete. Rename doesn't work.
3. Restart Firefox
4. Reinstall Fast Dial (and restart Firefox again)
5. Places to look for your bookmarks:
a. Unsorted Bookmarks
b. foxmarks/xmarks users go to foxmarks.com and log in. They keep backups.
Good luck. This is a great extension!

If you restore to a new Firefox Profile it should be equivalent.

I would also try restoring bookmarks first and then loading Fast Dial later...

But in either case you must refresh the fast dial page for the logos to return

Also always make sure to check the the correct Fast Dial Folder in Bookmars is made home.

Yhe background is not stored in Bookmarks

Did you also try this:

I got this problem with Xmarks too: blank Fast Dial link in my bookmarks instead of the Fast Dial folder and the error 3 with XMarks which can'T synchronise anymore.
The solution in two steps.
First Step: connect online on xmarks.com Then my bookmarks -> Tools -> Explore and restore -> Restore to the last valid backup.

Second Step: Delete the empty Fast Dial link in your bookmarks and let Xmarks "synchronize now" and download the bookmarks from server (NOT merge)

Being careful not to use MERGE !

I will consider this thread closed.

It is well documented that other users have recovered their bookmarks and the fast dial folder either from the xmarks backup or from the firefox bookmarks backup.

It remains unclear why you have not met with any success.

In order to troubleshoot this further it would be necessary to examine each step in detail, to try and discover why this is not working for you.

As I am not a user of bookmarks I cannot reproduce your problem

thanks by your help dude, it help me a lot, i can fix it, but i cannot save my logo in the xmarks, just the bookmarks, thanks anyway.
