Hi Guys
UPDATE (Works Only With Vista And Windows 7).
I have been reading a lot about fast dial cannot be transparent, it is possible.
I have been working with this code taken from http://userstyles.org/styles/19104.
I can get all of fast dial transparent and all of firefox but the down side is, it makes all websites transparent which some will like it some wont.
If someone can stop all websites from going transparent or slightly faded will be perfect, as i have tried for a long time and have been unsuccessful.
Here go's tutorial for noobs i am sure the more advance people will no what to do ( make sure you remove all other transparent apps, plugins, addons or stylish codes ).
1. First install Stylish https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2108.
2. After install right click on the stylish status bar icon and turn off all styles ONLY turn on styles after the last step.
3. Again right click on the stylish status bar icon and write new style > blank style.
4. Name the title Glass Firefox and then add code below in the big white empty box and save.
@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
*:not([style*="rgb"]){
-moz-appearance: -moz-win-glass !important ;
background: transparent !important;
color:white !important; }
5. Create another new style named Glass Websites and then add the 2 codes together below in the big white empty box and save.
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);
@-moz-document url("") {
*:not([style*="rgb"]){
-moz-appearance: transparent !important ;
color: white !important;}
}
@-moz-document url-prefix("http://"), url-prefix("https://") {
*:not([style*="rgb"]){
background: black !important ; }
}
6. Right click on the stylish status bar icon and turn on all styles and enjoy!.

or
Windows operating System Specific.
Which operating system and version of firefox have you got?
If its XP or windows 7 I could try it on my friends computers.
If it is the firefox version i will download the older version and send a picture.
Also could you post a picture of what error u are getting at the moment.

I removed "-moz-win-glass" and added "none" for -moz-appreareance.
@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
*:not([style*="rgb"]){
-moz-appearance: none !important ;
background: transparent !important;
color:white !important; }
I tried on XP Pro freezes uses 100% cpu trying to find out why it is using alot of cpu.

I think it was fine before... ? :-)
Re: Fast Dial Transparent With Stylish Addon.
Submitted by Sanjay on Sat, 04/17/2010 - 16:12I changed it because XP doesnt have aero.
When i tried it with "-moz-win-glass" everything went black and i changed it to "none" and it went transparent and froze firefox and my CPU 100% so i cannot tell if it is fully transparent.
I thought you said it didnt change anywhere...
what do you mean? I think it was fine before... ? :-)

It would seem then perhaps that one needs Vista (or Windows 7 maybe) to run
I do not understand this yet...
I would have presumed that Firefox/Stylish CSS was independent of the operating system
Maybe I am wrong...
Are you running any Glassing extensions in Firefox ?
and it went transparent and froze firefox and my CPU 100% so i cannot tell if it is fully transparent.
Yes it is strange that Firefox freezes.
Good to know why
Although in the original style you used it speaks of this phenomenon..

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Sat, 04/17/2010 - 17:12What happens if you use your glass websites style only ?
Does it make web pages transparent if it is the only style running ?

-moz-win-glass is only for vista or windows 7 unfortunately confirmed on the link below
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/CSS/-moz-appearance ( near to the bottom)

That explains why I could never get this to work...
Thanks
you could try with true-transparency
I will look at true transparency...

Did try on XP nice software, doesn't work on laptop because of no mouse scroll and doesn't work on vista as well.
Will try to work something for XP fast dial transparency
If I come up with anything will post here, hope this has helped vista and windows 7 users.
