Problems with fx 3.6b1

I know fastdial doesn't support the new beta for fx 3.6 yet, but usually it's just a matter of having a compatible version number, which the Local Install plugin can override.

However, fastdial completely breaks down in 3.6... new tabs open completely blank, and overall tab behavior seems corrupted. Does anyone know what changed in 3.6 that would so dramatically impact fastdial? And is there a 3.6-compatible version in the works?

Did not have much luck with 3.6b1 as most extensions don't work immediately.
Never got round to looking at Fast Dial.

Will have another go tomorrow....

Yeah, I made a backup of everything, first... going to try to start with a clean profile and install, see if that works better. I've heard of the problem you linked to, but it's different... FastDial displays all the cells correctly in 3.6b1, but every cell I clicked on opened a blank tab.

I'll let y'know if it works better on a clean profile

Disabled TabMixPlus and all is well for me. So the problem manifests itself in FastDial, but is rooted in TMP. Now that it's disabled, everything is working great, I used FEBE to import my old profile, and all of my settings, shortcuts, etc. are all there and working.

HowEVER! If you disable TMP, go to the fx addon site and install the latest version, 0.3.8.2, and re-enable, all is again well. Fx didn't detect a new version of TMP automatically : \

So it was only TMP, that is good news.

If you were able to describe all symptoms that would be most helpful.

Also details of the offending Version would be valuable

Can now also confirm that FD 2.23b1 seems to work fine in Firefox 3.6b1.

Sorry, I don't recall what version of TMP I had... the version I tracked down and manually installed that worked is 0.3.8.2; FD was 2.23b1

Symptoms:

FastDial would display correctly; clicking on a cell would open a new tab, but the tab would be blank
Tabs would not close in response to the ctrl+w keystroke, and there was no close button for the tab (so once it was opened, it was stuck open)
Ctrl+t to open a new tab wouldn't display the homepage, just a blank tab

There may have been others, but those were the ones I saw... I didn't do any extensive digging.

I will try to reproduce when I have moment by downloading older versions of TMP from AMO
