Well i had a nice post here about modifying the frontpage, and it included screenshots and all. but some idiot n00b that have no life decided to edit it and change it all to spam links.
i cant do much about it since it was not a registered user....
the most i could find was, he is using comcast, and is in NH
i did get his IP, so if he decides to do it again, hes up for a site-wide IP ban
not sure how they got permission to edit the page - i may re-edit this later to make it look like the original post.

instead they have lists of popular, featured, new, etc..
i would like something similar, but with logo thumbnails, and lists of articles, and a section for fast dial..

i have optimized the deco theme for better viewing..
now its content area display the same, if not more content than bluemarine..
if you switch to it, you will probably see the old style, to force firefox to refresh to the updated one, use CTRL+R or CTRL+F5
let me know if you like it more, or hate it more..
also - instead of creating a beta frontpage, i though i would photoshop a fake - of how i want it to look..sound good?

Yes the deco theme looks better now. I still prefer that the two columns be at the side and the main content be in the middle (like in the bluemarine theme). But that might be only me. ;-)
As for the front page photoshop - cool idea.

Maybe a possible Theme option could be to have a Userstyles start page which was a mock up of a page of Fast Dial in Full Screen Mode with labelled cells (English and Russian?) which could lead to different areas of the site.
Would be fun to play with.
But in the end I think, BlueMarine would win. :-)

The logo thumbnails under "featured" and "popular" could use chiaroscuro's idea of a mock Fast Dial..
we could have the background turn black on hover..
Comments and suggestions, good or bad, on my front page beta image would be helpful..
