Fast Dial kills homepage

(2.22 version and any above, Firefox = ver 3. latest) Please help !!! This problem is back again!!!
1. Clicking any external link while firefox is closed will open Fast Dial NOT THE LINK, thus forcing me to click the link again.!!! :@
2. Can't set any other homepage. What ever homepage I choose, Fast Dial opens instead of the new homepage. :@
3. Problem resolves only when I disable Fast Dial :@
4. chrome://fastdial/content/fastdial.html is showed in the address bar on opening firefox which wasn't there before the problem started again.
This is so annoying that I want to crash this plug-in into the wall, which is unfortunately not possible.
Any solutions?? Please... I think Fast Dial should change the way how it handles all the home page thing.

Try opening menu View > Toolbars > Customize... and drag Activity Indicator somewhere on toolbar or menubar. This indicator was present by default in the top-right corner of the browser window in older versions of Firefox, but isn't in Firefox 3.5 beta 4.

If you look carefully at the previous comment by telega, you will see that it does not refer to the homepage issue, but addresses another issue that was raised.
What is your problem with the Homepage.

Presumably you are changing the settings in Firefox/Options/Main/Startup
Are these settings not getting saved ?
Could you describe in detail what your present settings are.
That is when Firefox starts:

If you have when firefox starts set to "show a blank page", then whatever you might enter in the homepage will have no effect when Firefox starts, and Fast Dial will always open.
