This problem was drawn attention to on AMO

With the extension Autohide it was always possible to access the Windows Task Bar.

It could be deemed inconvenient in FD when this in no longer the case.

A whole number of users have reported all the same symptom

All their cell refresh circles turning round and round.

Why I wonder is this happening.

There have been too many reports to believe that all these users have suddenly lost Java on their machines.

If anyone has any further details, like errors, please post in this thread.

For the moment I tend to believe that this is a FD Bug

This bug is easy enough to reproduce

In the Fast Root create a cell with a Folder

Click on that folder cell

So you are now in the folder

Hit the back button in the new cell to go back to the Root

You are back in the root

You will see that a new cell will have appeared top left

Click on Fast Dial

Error appears

Place is not a registered Protocol (this is the bug)

There have been some reports of problems in the address bar with FD.

One user on AMO said this problem went away when the Fast Dial Toolbar Button was removed

This may be me

But I find myself quite unable to create in a New Profile, a working Root Folder in FD 2.14.

Not sure why.

I get a white screen if I hit FD Toolbar Icon

If I create Root page in FD 2.11 (works fine) and then upgrade to 2.14 well then everything works fine.
No white page or anything

Advice please !

I notice in 2.14 that if one tries to Paste to the Google Search Window that this is not possible.

The wrong Menu appears.

It would seem that if one chooses the Firefox option in the Right Click context menu that one can chose paste, so it is possible.

It could however be argued that it would be simpler if only the Firefox menu appeared.

This is a bug.
Happens every time

If a cell with a logo is refreshed then the present logo will disappear and the previous Logo will appear.

Or if there was no previous Logo then the image of the URL will show but the present Logo will disappear

Easy to reproduce.

Load a Logo into a cell
Refresh.

I have found that if I swap two cells in FD 2.14 that a red dot appears instead of the G (for Google) in the new Search Module in Fast Dial 2.14.

This behaviour may be provoked by other actions but I am not certain.

Once the red dot appears the Search Module ceases to function.

Reload current page clears the fault

Help!

I cannot edit my buttons on fast dial. I used to be able to hover over a button and get a bar that allowed me to edit or I could right click on a button and select properties. Neither of these options work. I have to open Firefox Bookmarks and organize bookmarks and then edit it there, but even then it doesn't refresh or change the picture.

I use a Mac with OSX and Firefox 3.0.3
