At last the nature of the Java Scaling problem in FD 2.14 has become apparent.

It would seem that in Fast Dial 2.14, Java scaling does not work on the latest Java JRE Version 6u10

telega confirms however that Version 6u3 works fine.
So
6u3 works fine
I can also confirm that
6u7 works fine ( this is the previous Version to 6u10 )

So more work needs to be done to confirm which Java Versions do and do not work.

My suspicion is that it is only the latest version that is causing problems, but this may prove not to be the case.

So it would seem that some essential aspect of Java has changed, perhaps in the last Version, causing this problem to arise.
