Search does not work

When I enter a term and hit the enter key nothing happens.
It does display a menu of installed search engines though but selecting any of them makes no difference, it just keeps displaying the fastdial icon.
Using FF 3.0.12, FD 2.23b1 on Win Vista Ultimate 32-bit.
As I recall it was working before updating FD to version 2.23b1

Yes you are quite right, search does not work on 2.23b1
Works on 2.22b
But drag and drop to folders does not work on 2.22b

As mentioned above search does not work in 2.23b1
If you want search you will have to use 2.22b

Search works fine in 2.22b, only in 2.23b1 is there a problem with search

Version 2.22b doesn't work with the latest FF release (I know because I tried to go back to it when I realised the search didn't work in the new version). So not only would I have to revert to an earlier version of FD, but also of FF itself. So I am stuck with a searchless version of FD for now.
A proper fix, and an updated version would be nice. The multiple searchbars is intriguing - will we be able to set a default search for these at some point? As they are, there seems little point to them.

The plan was that you would be able to have different searches running in each search bar
As they are, there seems little point to them.
This is a Beta Version.
Set Search to 0 in Preferences/General and you won't see them

actually, if you browse the forum a bit, you could thank God all your bookmarks did not disapear after updating ( I was lucky too )
always the same with free software...
