fast dial is not working on new firefox 3.5

Since i upgraded my firefox to 3.5 the fast dial tab/page is blank. Not only all my bookmarks are gone, but i can't include new ones. The new tabs still call themselves Fast Dial, but is blank.
I tried re-installing fast dial but it is still not working...

It wanted to install itself on Flock, so I let it (I didn't have FD on Flock b4).
When it installed, it had all my Firefox FD bookmarks on it.
So I did it again, had to tell it to use Firefox instead of Flock.
When it installed, it was working, but no bookmarks were there.
I am able to add bookmarks now (with right-click menu)
This is after I did the bookmarks restore, which didn't seem to do anything,
but that only went back to July 7, which I think is after I upgraded FF.
At least I have it back, happy at last.
