Oh my God - thank you chiaroscuro! You saved the day - all my fastdial bookmarks are back and everything seems to work OK.

I still cannot retrieve my lost bookmarks. Maybe it's because I'm on a Mac?

Please try first clicking on your Fast Dial and go Preferences/Appearance/Thumbnail and check your Opacity settings.

If the value is very low, all your cells will be invisible.
So please increase the value.

If the above is not the case please try this

And then try reloading your bookmarks once again.

If you find no fast dial folder in bookmarks, please let me know

I'm using XMarks and Fastdial and after 3.5 upgrade Fast dial bookmarks folder have become a link like "chrome...".
I did restore from bookmarks organizer to the date before upgrade and it helped.
