FastDial pulling up history instead of items in the FastDial bookmark folder...

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 01/16/2009 - 17:43.

Not sure whats going on, but after the last upgrade I cant get FastDial to work properly...It shows items in the history instead of items I've added to it previously, and there is no way to right click and remove the items...

Am I missing a setting or something?

Maybe you are in the recently bookmarked folder ore something like that.

Try going to bookmarks/organise bookmarks

Find the Bookmarks Menu

In there you should find a folder called Fast Dial

Right click on that Folder

And in the context menu go to Fast Dial/Make Home

That should put you in the Root Page in Fast Dial

If you click on the Fast Dial Toolbar Icon that should take you there.

Please let us know how you get on.

Many thanks

I can shed some light on this - history bookmarks get displayed when Fast Dial home preference (extensions.fastdial.root) points to a bookmark that is not a folder. But I don't know yet how this might happen.

UPDATE: chiaroscuro's solution to make home "Fast Dial" bookmark folder should solve the problem.

Thanks.. this sounds like it will work. Don't know how it got messed up during the upgrade, but I'm pretty sure I didnt do anything out of the ordinary.

As a suggestion, maybe the option to select the home folder for fastdial would work better in the preferences menu. This way you have it now is kinda not obvious.

Good idea.
New Version will probably have something like this.
