Supposedly wrong version of the root registration (?)

Hi ;-)

First of all, thank you for your extension: it is very nice, and your efforts are much appreciate ;-)

I am writing you for this. I am using FEBE/CLEO/OPIE to create a backup of my Firefox profile. These utilities neglect the settings/preferences for Fastdial. The author of these extensions says this is probably caused by "Most likely, Fastdial does not store its preferences in the standard way. You will probably have to find out what the extension root is for that extension yourself and tell OPIE what it is. ".

Now I don't know anything about programming, but perhaps you might want to use 'the standard way'?

FEBE works fine for me. My background doesn't load tho, because it is stored on my computer.
Where do you store your logos?
if they're on the internet, then FD should go and retrieve them.

It is surprising to me that FEBE works for you, since the author of FEBE says it doesn't work with FD (???)

I have standard setup of FD, I think FD caches the icons for the web pages 'somewhere' (like, for example, I have nieuwsmonster.nl as a page in FD: FD shows a miniatur of that webpage). But on restore via FEBE, the site 'nieuwsmonster' is not shown at all in FD: I get 9 blank boxes without any web page.

If you make a complete Profile Backup of your working current Firefox profile using FEBE, and then make a complete Profile restore to a new Profle, from you present working profile, every aspect of Fast Dial 2.x will be reconstituted.

I see no reason why this should not be the case.
