2.9 questions and problems (and how to fix some)

I just updated to 2.9 and already have questions. If you can answer a question or help me in any way please do. I edited a lot of this because the events stopped happening.
1) Sometimes when i went to tools then add-ons, then go down to fast dial, click options, suddenly my tabs get flooded with fast dial tabs.
That about wraps it up. help is appreciated :D
edit: If you enjoyed opening a new tab with the fast dial icon, by using the scroll button on your mouse, here's how to do it. use the set your homepage as "about:blank" and use the home button instead of the fast dial button (yes, i know you would prefer to middle click the fast dial button)
