To fix this issue please update FD to the latest version: Link
Fast Dial v2.11 also fixes the problem of Drag n Drop ordering!
If FD is not showing up in new tabs, uninstalling it and reinstalling should fix it. (worked for me..)
Remember to restart firefox after the uninstall and reinstall.

current version is the one on this site, and mozilla is the onoe on the mozilla addons site - since there is a delay until they approve an update
the update field is saying if it is recommended or not to update from previous versions..
sometimes it may show critical...when there is a big bug..

vs. ctrl-tab

While it is better I don't like the fact that it added two new bookmarks to my full fastdial without my consent. But importantly, I can't remove the fastdial tab to use my ctrl-tab extention. Lastly, when it collided with tab mix plus, my browser became an utter mess.
A new fix with removable fastdial tab is greatly appreciated.
