pages do not load when started with browser closed

Hi.
When I have firefox closed and I click a URL in an email or use start | run | http://google.com the browser opens but doesn't take me to the URL that was entered.
I have uninstalled fast dial and it works just fine. Also, I have several computers and it is only happening on 1 of them.
What can I do to get this fixed/resolved?
Thanks.

Strange, are you using Fast Dial 2.22b ?
This problem has not been reported before and I am unable to reproduce.
Are you aware of any differences in this one computer that does not work. ?
Can you see any errors in the Firefox Error Console ?
Many thanks

Error: Failed to hook function: URLBarSetURI
Source File: chrome://ietab/content/ietabUtils.js
Line: 37
Error: Failed to hook function: getShortcutOrURI

Thanks for the errors
Try disabling your Firefox extension ietab and see if this helps your problem
many thanks

Submitted by Phillip Jacobs (not verified) on Wed, 03/11/2009 - 14:08I disabled it and then removed it but it didn't change anything. I disable FastDial and this doesn't happen.

The errors were both ietab errors.
With ietab disabled were there any errors ?

Please try also running only your Fast Dial in a New Firefox profile and see if you can reproduce the problem.
Many thanks

Submitted by Phillip Jacobs (not verified) on Wed, 03/11/2009 - 14:35There is nothing in the error console with ieTab gone.
I had this problem happen about a year ago and I posted to the other forum that FastDial had at the time. The developer provided me with a possible fix and this problem went away. It broke again after I updated and I didn't try to fix it until now. I can't find the old forum and I don't think he emailed it to me.
I do remember the fix was something that caused the startup delay to be longer. it was like change a 1000 to a 3000. sorry I can't remember more.

i tried the old fix but it didn't seem to do anything. i might screencap it so you can see it messing up. don't see how that would help though. :)
