well, at least support the home to be different than the subfolders, i was doing this before... i had three folders, big, centered, one for each person who might use one of our computers and then their bookmarks inside those subfolders. i'd like to be able to at least have one homepage different than the rest. different theme/style per folder could be nice, also.

On the previous versions of FD I could decide different configurations for each folder, but with the actual version if I change olne configuration, it automaticly applies to all the folders and the main page...

This feature (per-folder options) was initally added by me in older versions, and the only feedback I had received was from users confused by the feature. Nobody ever told me he likes the feature before I removed it. Once removed I received several complaints like "This is the only feature that makes me love Fast Dial". So I'm going to add this feature back. I'm thinking to add a checkbox, something like "Have global settings" or "Have per-folder settings". Not yet sure how to better implement this.

btw FD is my favourite most essential add on for firefox. One of the features I like is the ability to... (well that's pretty obvious from nature of this thread:-)

For those of us who are not befuddled by the option of having different configurations for folders which version of FD should we revert to in the interim.

If you are running a current Version of Fast Dial, I would strongly rcommend that you make a backup of your present Firefox Complete Profile with FEBE. before you change to an earlier Fast Dial Version.

I would also encourage you to hold on a little longer, as present Versions are in many ways superior to their antecedents.

Can we expect a new version soon that allows again different configuration for each folder ?

if it's possible, can we at least know how long we are going to be waiting for the next update? I mean, it's been almost two months and I'd simply like to know if it's a matter of days or months, so if I know I have to wait for july to see another version, I'll stop checking for updates twice a day :D I don't mind waiting, as long as I know how long

You know it is difficult with an update.
I mean certain problems might take longer than expected to resolve.

I don't think you should give up expecting an update, as well, it is on it's way.

I too am interested in the arrival of a new update, as a whole number of questions will have been resolved, causing less problems for users.

I can only recommend a little patience, without giving up hope. :-)
