@telega:My fast Dial has disappeared along with all the websites I had saved? Why and how did this happen? I think this is the second time in 3 months this has happened.

If you're using Nightly Firefox version, it's known to reset user profile data (along with bookmarks) sometimes.
You can try to recover bookmarks. Go to menu Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks - a Library window would open. Then go to menu Import and Backup > Restore Backup.
