Thanks for posting details of your difficulty and the picture.

For a start as a safety measure I would recommend that you load Febe and do a full Profile backup.
Just as a precaution.

Please let us check that your Fast Dial folder is correctly set up in Bookmarks.

How long ago did this happen, and was it after ubgrading to Firefox 3.5 ?

It would be interesting to see if you can create the same problem in a new Firefox Profile with only Fast Dial running.
Please could you try.

It is tempting to view your problem as a loss of all cells on the Fast Dial page.
Please see workaround here

But in many ways it is entirely different as you still have your cells and they still work.

After resetting the Fast Dial Folder as above and restarting Firefox, if that does not help, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Fast Dial in you present faulty Profile.

Or if you prefer try disabliing all your other extnensions in your non-working profile, restart Firefox.
This would help clarify if you problem was being caused by another extension.

Please have a look in the Folder "Cache" which in your Firefox Profile, in the Fast Dial Folder to see if there are files stored there

I have never seen this particular problem before, which leads me to believe that it is possibly an extension conflict

BTW do you ever have a background.
Does the background work ?
