Hmm.. I was told that the archives are only supposed to be managed by moderators.. Who have full create, edit, delete access in that area..

I have temporarily extended posting and editing access to top contributors as well..
Please follow chiaroscuro's guidelines which is stickied at the frontpage.. We will wait for a comment from him about this topic, since he setup the archives..

Chiaroscuro collaborated with me when setting up the archives, so I think I can help.

When a contributor has completed a logo, they should post it in the thread in this forum where it was requested. Once the request that is fulfilled has been acknowledged by the requester, it will be moved to the archive. If it is not acknowledged after a week, it will be moved anyway.
If it is from the long list of requests, they should create a new thread in this forum with the URL of the logo and the site it is for. MShadows will then see these, delete the logo from the long list and archive it.

If I have made a mistake, I apologise. They should be corrected now (I have given permissions for the 'Logo Requests' and 'Logos to be done' forums and removed it from the archives.)

ingalls and mafia_penguin, please tell me if your logos that you posted in the 'completed requests' forum were from the long list, and if so I shall move them back.

Your link is to the Logo Requests / Completed Requests Archive.

If you had read my post you would have seen:

In the Archive itself posting is disabled, to avoid unnecessary confusion.
If anyone finds that they have an unfulfilled request in the archive, please post it again in the Logo Request Forum.

It is macleod.macs responsability for filing completed Logo Requests in the Archive.

We (ingalls and I) had completed some logos and needed to put the posts into the Archive. However, the Completed Requests area was locked. Macleod.mac, the latest Admin, gave us permissions on Drupal to post here by accident. Please wait while I move my threads into the right place.

macleod.mac kindly and quite correctly enabled posting in Logos to be Done this morning for Ingalls. This is of course necessary to enable finished logos to be posted.

It is clear that this is an unsuitable place to commence a thread

Thanks to you and ingalls for completing so many Logos for Logos to be done.

I believe there was a problem earlier in the day of posting in Logos to be done

This was resolved by macleod.mac this morning at 09:51
(before your post started)

His (ingall's) problem was not posting in the Archive, but in Logos to be done!

The posting to the Archive in Logos to be done is arranged to be done by MShadows.
This enables him to edit his list on Archiving.

I hope this is clearer now.

No this is a complete misunderstanding.
MShadows has his own archive, and needs to edit his list before Archiving. To post his completed requests in the Logo Requests Archive would create unwelcome confusion.

It is to avoid such actions that I inhibited posting in the Archives in the first place :-)
