Launchy Stuff

Cant find where to put copy and pasted text.
You need first to paste that text you got from the xml generator into a Text editor (Notepad for example) and then "save as" the file into the Chrome Folder.
Be careful not to "save as" launchy.xml.txt
So have file types selected as "All" rather than as "Text" when you "save as" the file.
---
To know where to save the text file launchy.xml:
Click on Launchy Icon/Options and then Launchy.xml.
That gives you the exact location of the Chrome Folder.
---
Once you have saved the file, it is much easier to make further edits to the file in situ using Notepad in Launchy.
Good luck

Not sure what your error message is about.
Forgot to mention that you should save your launchy.xml file with encoding set to UTF-8 format
If you want to post your launchy.xml file I can see if it works this end.

I am talking about Launchy the Firefox Extension
Not Launchy the Windows application.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I want to see your Launchy.xml file
Should look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
EditPad
7
C:\Program Files\Editpad Classic\EditPad.exe

Re: Launchy Stuff
Submitted by chiaroscuro on Sun, 11/16/2008 - 15:54You can search for it with Notepad in Launchy
File open/ then look in the Chrome folder
Select all types rather than Text folders.
Open launchy.xml

Just looks like you have not saved the launchy.xml file to that chrome folder.
That's all
Going to start a new profile, see if that makes a difference.
Not really necessary at all.
Just repeat your actions to make the launchy.xml file.

if this is too much we can continue another day.
the details of how to create the launchy.xml file are clearly described here
Any questions please get back to me.
I should start with just one Windows program
Which one do you want to add ?
