After looking at other addons version history, most others have the exact same structure, where the lower versions have a signed tag, and the higher versions don't (though they are signed and enabled). It must be a design choice on Mozilla's part. So the only problem we have is people who downloaded earlier versions of fast dial using userlogos or github.

I feel there is something still missing here
Why are versions not marked as signed, plus users having problems
Perhaps AMO are just being slow in getting extensions being signed
This is inappropriate if recent Firefox Versions are being very picky about signed Versions
I still think Jorge should be able to give a clear explanation of what exactly is going on
This line was enabled for my firefox, so I had changed nothing. Fast Dial worked in other words without changing anything on my part. I am thinking that many people are using the .xpi that is loaded on the userlogos site.

I understand the reason for your present conclusion There are a number of variables here It would be good to get further user feedbacck Should one then in the light of of FF43 remove all xpi's from Userlogos to avoid further confusion
Or should all xpi's on UL have the xpinstall line disabled in fastdial.js and would that then avoid this problem reoccuring
As i did the "xpinstall.signatures.required preference to "false"" the third day i already forgot that i had that problem!
Well its working that way but still we have to find another way to work it out! As i'm not a addon installer/uninstaller much i saw no harm from this action. But some guys could.
What if someone of us gets a format to his/her PC and try to install FASTDIAL. Would that let us install the add-on ?
I can't think myself using anothir thing as i'm so used to use this one. After losing this addon ( for 2 days) i found out that firefox's own manager was too hard to use and not customisable.

@badtrip
Thank you so much for responding
What would be good to know from you is from where did you downloaded your Fast Dial Version Was it from AMO (Mozilla Addons) or from Userlogos
I think what is unclear at the moment is that EF suggests there is no problem with downloads from AMO and yet some uesrs are speaking of a problem It would be good to understand why and under what conditions this problem occurs
Your present feedback for that reason in this situation is most important to us on this issue as EF is unable to reproduce on his computer
I believe i downloaded the add-on from here! Not from the AMO.
I have the link stored in a "browser related folder" in the bookmarks so, i dont have to remember all of the add-on names and if something happens i can easily set them up!
So the add ons that are downloaded here , are never verified. This is what i started to think.

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Sat, 01/02/2016 - 17:25Out of interest what is your setting in about:config for the line
xpinstall.signatures.required
If you enable this line can you still download/install and run FD from AMO ?
