Simple Mail issue with TDS

Interesting ... TDS Telecom recently switched to using gmail as its email provider. Oddly, when I type in my tds.net email address in the account area, it automatically populates the POP3 and SMTP sections with the old TDS settings, which no longer work. But... to my surprise, you can not change these values. I've recreated the account with the gmail server information, leaving the General page blank with exception to my name, and that seems to work, except no one can reply to my messages. The instant I drop my email address into the General page, which still ends in tds.net, rather than gmail.com, the setting auto-changes to the old TDS settings and I can no longer send mail.
What's going on?
Here is the info.
email address ends in tds.net
server needs to be pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com
The pop3 server and smtp server fields need to be editable after entering an email address that differs from the server.
Can this be fixed?
Thanks

Submitted by telega on Sat, 05/16/2009 - 05:47Pop3 and smtp server fields should be editable. They are only prepopulated with default values once you change email address field.
If the fields aren't editable, check Error Console (see http://userlogos.org/node/2206).
